Transaero and Utair turn to government for financial support

Transaero and Utair, Russia’s second and third largest airlines  have asked the government for financial support while  sanctions deny them access to the international credit markets, and prevent them from restructuring their debt. Finam Management analyst Dmitry Baranov, said that the companies’ debt burden had remained tolerable while the rouble retained its value, but that  because most of their revenue was generated in roubles, they had begin to run into problems. rbth
