Vietnam and Russia look to double trade

Vietnam and Russia are hoping that trade between the two countries will increase by 250% by the end of the decade to $10bn, Vietnam’s permanent representative to the UN Le Hoai Trung said this week. Russia is already contracted to participate in the construction of two out of the five nuclear power plants that Vietnam is planning to build, and the countries are currently working together on the creation of a nuclear science and technology centre in Hanoi.
