TajikistanGDP growth:  The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development  is  predicting that  growth in Tajikistan’s  growth will slow down from the 6.7% it recorded in 2014 to 4.4% in the current year. While the EBRD expects the impact of the collapse of the rouble on the Tajik somoni to remain relatively limited even with the high level of remittance the country receives from Russia, it forecasts that  the country’s economic performance  will be hampered by shortcomings in its banking sector, including increased levels of arrears.
