Ovadan-Depe gas plant work begins

Ovadan-Depe gas plant:  Turkmenistan’s President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov this week attended the groundbreaking ceremony signalling the start of work on the $1.7bn Ovadan-Depe gasoline production plant in the Kara-Kum desert. The plant is being built by a consortium that includes Turkmengaz, Japan’s Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Turkey’s Rönesans Holding, with equipment being supplied by Denmark’s Haldor Topsoe and which on completion in 2018 will have an annual natural gas capacity of 1.79bn mand will produce 600,000 tons of RON-92 gasoline.
